This is where I upload weekly media examining and commentating on Sunday School lessons from various curriculum publications such as Union Gospel Press, International Sunday School Lessons (ISSL), and possibly others. In this lesson on Just Teach Ministries we explore the spiritual impact King Josiah had on Judah and the surrounding territory. Succeeding two ungodly kings, Josiah was drawn by God to a place of righteousness after hearing the word of God read by his scribe, Shaphan. King Josiah not only tore down the many pagan elements throughout Judah & Israel, but he made covenant with God to obey the law, he repaired the temple in Jerusalem and instructed Judah to observe Passover.

With today's lesson we are concluding the study of the 3 Hebrew boys and stand they took not bowing to the golden image erected by King Nebuchadnezzar. The story progresses with Nebuchadnezzar sentencing them to be burned alive in a fiery furnace. We witness how God uses the lives of believers and the trials we face to reveal himself to non-believers. This is the ultimate goal of every situation we face in our lives.

In today's lesson we are studying the prayer of King Hezekiah in the temple. After receiving a threatening letter for Sennacherib that Assyria will invade Judah, Hezekiah took the letter and spread it before God. We will examine the posture of Hezekiah's heart toward God and his desire for the glory of God to be revealed to all the kingdoms of the Earth. We will conclude discussing the importance of recognizing the lessons God is looking to teach us through the test and trials we experience.

We will consider how many people can become enemies simply because of your declaration to live uncompromising in God. In today's lesson we are discussing Abram building an alter to God after being reminded of God's promise to give him the land of Canaan and multiply his seed. Abram is on the heels of a challenging experience in Egypt where he had fled to avoid famine in Canaan. Now back in the land between Bethel and Hai, the herdsman of Abram and Lot are arguing over the limited space they are dwelling. Our lesson covers Abram's solution and God's conversation with Abram subsequently.

In this week's lesson we are covering a prolific story in the life of Daniel. During the early stages of the Babylonian captivity Daniel and his friends were assigned to the prince of the eunuchs to be educated in Babylonian culture, wisdom and studies. Part of this process included eating meats & wines portioned for the king's table. Daniel requested a diet of pulse (things sown in the ground) so that he would not disobey the Mosaic law. This a was daring request that cause God to respond in a mighty way.
